Caribbean Medical Student Book Call

Residency Match & USMLE Coaching

Turn the Caribbean disadvantage into your Match-day advantage.

Physician-led coaching, built only for Caribbean medical students and international medical graduates. One physician reads your case, builds the strategy, and stays in your corner from your first USMLE to Match Day.

Free 30-minute call. No sales pitch. No payment on the call.

Why this exists

The Caribbean path plays by different rules. Your coaching should too.

US medical students apply from inside the system. You apply from outside it, against tighter odds, extra exams, visa questions, and a signal every program committee notices first. Generic advice was not written for that reality. This coaching was.

Why students choose Dr. Bansal

Four reasons this coaching is different.

A physician, not a tutor

You are coached by a board-certified physician and former Chief Medical Officer, not a test-prep tutor or a sales rep working off a script.

He walked this exact road

Dr. Bansal is a Saba University graduate who matched, trained, and led. He has stood where you stand, so the advice is lived, not theoretical.

Built only for IMGs

Every strategy is designed for the Caribbean and IMG route, including Canadian CaRMS. Nothing here is watered down for a general audience.

Proven at scale

More than 500 Caribbean students and IMGs coached across 11,000-plus hours. This is a tested playbook, not a first attempt.

The Coaching

Six ways a physician gets you to Match Day.

01 Foundational

IMG Career Strategy & Roadmap

Your Caribbean-to-Attending Game Plan

Every successful match starts with a real strategy, not a checklist.

We start by understanding who you are (your background, strengths, risks, and goals) and build a clear, realistic roadmap from where you are today to Match Day. This is where every coaching engagement begins, and it is the single most important conversation most Caribbean students never get to have.

US-citizen IMGs went unmatched in 2026. Strategy, not luck, separates the ones who matched.

Source: NRMP 2026 Main Match

What you get

  • Individual diagnostic assessment (scores, CV, gaps, risk factors)
  • Customized USMLE, ECFMG, and residency timeline
  • Specialty feasibility and competitiveness analysis
  • Visa and pathway risk mitigation
  • Quarterly milestone planning
02

USMLE Strategy & Study Optimization

Study Smarter. Score Higher. Protect the Match.

More resources will not fix a broken study plan.

Instead of piling on more UWorld, more Anki, and more regret, we align your preparation with your learning style, your Caribbean clinical calendar, and the residency you actually want. Step 2 CK is now the score programs weigh most, and the way Caribbean students prepare for it has to reflect that.

of US orthopedic surgery positions went to IMGs in 2026 (22 of 929). Your score protects the specialties you can still reach.

What you get

  • Score-improvement strategy built around how you learn
  • Exam sequencing and timing optimization
  • Test-day readiness coaching
  • Burnout prevention and productivity systems
03

Personal Statement & Application Narrative

Turn Your Caribbean Journey Into Your Biggest Advantage

Programs read thousands of applications. Make sure yours tells a story they remember.

Your ERAS is the argument a program committee will use to decide if you belong in their residency. We build that argument line by line. No templates, no recycled phrasing, and no pretending your gaps and attempts do not exist. Red flags handled honestly beat red flags hidden poorly, every cycle.

Shape My Story →

What you get

  • Deep-dive narrative coaching (no templates, ever)
  • Specialty-specific positioning
  • Red-flag mitigation (gaps, attempts, time off)
  • ERAS CV and experiences optimization

Residency Interview Coaching

Walk Into Every Interview Like You Already Belong

Interview day is where programs decide whether they can see you as a colleague.

We prepare you the way we would prepare one of our own fellows: with physician-led mock interviews, specialty-specific behavioral training, and honest feedback you will not get from friends or family. By the time you walk in, the version of you the program meets is the version you want them to meet.

Prep For Match Day →

What you get

  • Mock interviews with physician feedback
  • Behavioral and ethics question mastery
  • Confidence, presence, and communication coaching
  • Post-interview strategy and rank-list guidance
05

Re-Applicant & Rescue Coaching

Unmatched Does Not Mean Unqualified

Your next cycle does not have to look like your last one.

Reapplying without a real diagnosis of what went wrong last time is how you end up in the same place again. We read your prior cycle honestly (ERAS, personal statement, letters, interview record, match trail), tell you what signaled weak, and rebuild the application around what is actually recoverable. You get one or two shots at this. We make them count.

Mentorship, Accountability & Longitudinal Support

A Physician In Your Corner, From Day 1 to PGY-1

Careers are built over years, not calls.

Some seasons need weekly check-ins. Others need a trusted voice the week before your interview, the morning of your exam, or the night you get the news. Our longitudinal track is built for both, and it is the service our clients renew most.

Stay Mentored All The Way →

What you get

  • Ongoing check-ins on your cadence
  • Progress dashboards you will actually use
  • Real-time strategy adjustments
  • Access during high-stakes moments

FAQ

Before you book.

The questions students ask most about how the services and engagements actually work.

Book Free Consultation
How do I know which service I need?

You do not have to decide first. The free call is a diagnostic. Dr. Bansal reads your scores, timeline, and goals, then tells you which one or two tracks actually fit. You never buy a track you do not need.

Can I combine more than one service?

Yes, and most students do. A typical engagement blends two or three tracks, and you can add or upgrade one at any point as your cycle unfolds.

How long does an engagement usually last?

Anywhere from a few focused weeks to eighteen months of longitudinal support. It depends on where you start and what you are working toward. The roadmap sets the timeline honestly on day one.

Do you work with Canadian IMG and CaRMS applicants?

Yes. The Canadian route has its own timelines, weighting, and match rules, and Dr. Bansal has coached applicants through both the US and Canadian systems.

I already went unmatched. Is it too late for coaching?

No. Re-Applicant and Rescue Coaching begins with an honest read of your last cycle, names what signaled weak, and rebuilds the application around what is genuinely recoverable before you reapply.

Not sure which service fits your situation?

That is exactly what the free call is for. Dr. Bansal reads your case and tells you which one or two tracks actually fit, and what the next twelve months should look like.
